TextCaster Troubleshooting

If you're having issues subscribing to your MEC's PilotBlast TextCaster service, try these instructions based on your phone carrier.
  1. Please turn off your personal VPN (if applicable).

  2. Ensure that the text number for your carrier is not blocked on your phone. If the number is blocked the TextCaster system cannot deliver messages to your device. You can check blocked numbers on your iPhone/iPad by launching Settings from your Home screen. Tap Phone. Tap Blocked Contacts. Swipe left on the contact or number you want to unblock. Tap Unblock.

    The number may also be an entry in your CONTACTS that needs to be adjusted or deleted. You can also search for "how to unblock a phone number on an XXX phone" to get assistance for your phone model.

  3. After unblocking or confirming that the number is not blocked, text the following to the number below:
    T-Mobile: Text UNSTOP to 844-918-1199
    Verizon: Text CANCEL to 208-252-4539
    AT&T: We do not have a remedy for AT&T at this time, if 9693 is not blocked and you are still unable to subscribe you will need to contact AT&T for additional support.

  4. You should receive a confirmation text within a few minutes: Do NOT reply STOP to that message

  5. After receiving the confirmation text, try subscribing to the ALPA PilotBlast TextCaster system again by inputting your name, phone number and selecting the message groups on the TextCaster sign-up page.
